Minh Duong

Minh is the managing partner of Asia Counsel Vietnam and is admitted as a lawyer in both the New South Wales Supreme Court and the High Court of Australia, in addition to having more than 15 years of legal experience in Vietnam. Minh specializes in M&A, capital markets, banking and finance and corporate and commercial law. Minh is recognised in the Corporate M&A and Banking and Finance rankings for Vietnam by Chambers & Partners and IFLR100.

Minh is fluent in English and Vietnamese.

EDUCATION INVESTMENT IN VIETNAM_UPDATED IN DECEMBER 2024

On 5 October 2024, Decree No. 124/2024/ND-CP was issued, effective from 20 November 2024. Decree 124, amending and supplementing Decree 86, represents a significant policy shift, introducing more stringent and specific standards for foreign-invested educational institutions. Additionally, Decree No. 125/2024/ND-CP, also effective from 20 November 2024, provides guidance for domestic institutions, including public schools, focusing on operational conditions and quality assurance.
