DPPA FRAMEWORK
On 1 February 2025, the New Electricity Law took effect, establishing a new framework for energy and renewable projects. Subsequently, on 3 March 2025, the Vietnamese Government enacted key decrees, including Decree No. 57, which outlines the direct power sale and purchase framework.
This law enhances transparency and encourages private sector investment in renewable energy, expanding opportunities for eligible companies and large consumers to engage in direct power transactions.
