This update highlights the key points of the newly established legislative framework for new energy and renewable energy development as outlined in Decree 58.

This decree marks a significant advancement in Vietnam’s legal landscape, taking effect immediately upon issuance. As of March 3, 2025, Decree 58 will repeal the previous Decree No. 135/2024/ND-CP, which addressed rooftop solar development for self-production and self-consumption, introduced in October of last year.
